The Corvette, manufactured by the Chevrolet corporation is a sports car that has been made since the early 1950's. Ask anyone about Corvette and the answers you will get will range from high end, to expensive, but everyone knows what it is.

The early Corvette produced in 1953, was a reflection of the styling flair of Harley Earl, who convinced GM that two-seater sports cars were the ultimate American dream. The name Corvette comes from a small maneuverable fighting frigate. The early Corvettes were almost hand built using fiberglass instead of steel for the lightweight effect. At that time, Chevrolet was known for producing excellent performing cars in a no nonsense package.

Did you know that the original corvettes were battle warships? So are you ready to go to battle? If not you don't need to read any further. It all started in 1951 when Harley Earl convinced GM that they needed to manufacture a two seated sports car. Later that year the project was code named "Opel". In 1953 the corvette was unveiled, and has been going strong ever since. The Chevrolet Corvette has been one of the top performance sports cars in the last 5 decades. With over 400 horses in the most basic package you will definitely have a good time driving this car. What we really want to talk about is the options of taking that 400 hp (which is already a lot of power), over the top.

A Corvette is one of the most desired cars by any male in America. It is the ONLY true sports car in America. The Corvette has been around for more than 55 years but the car did not always have such a sports car appeal. The first Corvette only had a six speed engine but in 1955 it gained a mighty V8 and the Corvette could do 60 in fewer than 6 seconds.

Not a lot of cars during that time period would make these kind of numbers at the track, and was still able to be driven on the street every day, the corvette has made a very good reputation for it’s self and for the Chevrolet racing team, it has always performed well beyond the expectations of Chevrolet, and still continues to do it to this very day.

The performance by the modern day Corvette is nothing but astounding. The Corvettes that are made now are able to go from 0 to 60 in under 5 seconds. The wonderful thing about the Corvette is that it does not have to be a car just for those that enjoy sports cars. You can enjoy the Corvette because of how awesome it looks. This car has been around the block and it knows how to handle and drive you crazy.
